A redundant old services bridge has now been taken down in Lincoln city centre.

After a survey of the bridge by Lincoln University found it to be unsafe, a specialist demolition company was tasked with removing the old cast iron bridge. However, neither parties wanted any debris to enter the watercourse, and also required a solution that could hold the heavy plant machinery and scrap iron from the bridge.
