Floating Pontoon Solutions have just helped a specialist bridge repair company carry out some essential bridge repairs to an historic bridge on a private estate in Cheshire. Realising that a scaffold solution wouldn’t allow them to repair and point the bridge along the waters edge, they approached Floating Pontoon Solutions to understand if a floating pontoon would give them this flexibility. Designing the pontoon with the width narrower than the bridge width allowed them to reach right up to the waters edge, remove damaged brickwork, and replace and point as necessary.
Not only was the solution more efficient and cost effective, very little disruption was made during the install to the landowners and their visitors, with our customer full of praise and commenting – “I’m sure we will be in touch again in future”.
