Last week was extremely busy for FPS, as we were tasked in providing a pontoon solution to a large civil engineering company to assist with their bridge inspections over the River Irwell and Manchester Ship Canal. Over the course of a week, we undertook inspections on 7 bridges, some of which were constructed in the 2000’s and others that dated back to the 1800’s. FPS provided a full solution that consisted of a pontoon, tower scaffold, safety boat and two operatives to navigate the pontoons around the bridges. The project was praised by the client as we were extremely flexible in our approach, and provided a range of solutions to allow the inspections to be undertaken successfully.
