It is perhaps FPS’s most remote location where we have been asked to install a pontoon.

FPS operatives have just returned from a 1000 mile round trip to the Isle of Lewis. Upon receiving the initial enquiry, we envisaged an installation in a remote loch or scenic harbour, but on qualification, the pontoon was to be installed in a water tank of all places. The purpose was to allow the customer to fix a new roof on the tank as the previous one had blown off in high winds.

One of the challenges was getting the pontoon into the water tank as it stood over 5m high, but with the help of a boom, this again proved no problem for FPS. By mid afternoon, the pontoon was installed successfully and I’m sure FPS operatives can safely say it was probably the most scenic location they had encountered, however, not one where you could travel on a weekly basis!!!!
