FPS recently had an enquiry on a Thursday afternoon from a London-based TV production company to provide a pontoon in Newlyn Harbour, Cornwall the following week. As always, FPS reacted swiftly to the task and despatched two of its team down to the South West coast. They had to stay on site throughout the 3 days filming, helping to manoeuvre the pontoon around the harbour using an outboard motor attached to the pontoon. The filming was for a promotional video for the National Geographic Channel, with the pontoon being instrumental to the filming as it boasted a water cannon that was used to imitate rain on the returning trawlers. I’m sure you’ll admit it isn’t everyday that you get to experience being involved in working for the National Geographic Channel.
