Kampus, one of Manchester’s latest commercial and residential developments, located close to Canal Street, are using a pontoon supplied by FPS. The pontoon’s main purpose is to act as a fall arrest platform and also to prevent debris entering the canal. Debris netting has been fitted along the perimeter of the pontoon to assist with this. It was quite an eventful install as the installation team had to cope with the snow and sleet throughout the morning, and additionally, as the access road closed to traffic at 12.30pm the install had to be done in lightning quick time with 5 minutes to spare.
